Moving Up Homes is a family-owned contractor based in northwest Austin, working on residential and small commercial properties across Travis and Williamson counties.

Our story

Started with one truck

Moving Up Homes started as a one-truck operation out of a garage off Balcones Drive, taking whatever came in: fence repairs, water heaters, a bathroom here and there. The first real break was a landlord with four rentals who needed someone who would actually show up on a Saturday.

That job turned into a standing arrangement, and the standing arrangements turned into a maintenance division. We brought carpenters, a plumber, and an electrician on staff instead of subbing everything out, which is why a repair and a full renovation get the same crew standards and the same paperwork.

Today we run contracting and maintenance side by side out of one office, covering a 40-mile radius around Austin. The work we do best is the long relationship: a homeowner who calls us back for the next room, or a manager who hands us a whole portfolio and stops thinking about it.

One lead per job

You get a name and a cell number. That person is on site, knows the scope, and answers when you call.

Fixed, itemized quotes

Materials and labor broken out line by line. If scope changes, it's approved in writing before anyone picks up a tool.

Clean sites, daily

Debris out, floors protected, driveway clear. Occupied properties stay livable while we work.

We come back

Warranty callbacks get scheduled like new work, not squeezed in whenever. Maintenance clients get standing slots.
